What
the reviews say...
"This game gives hours of fun
and mental stimulation in single
player mode, and lots of fast competetive action in multiplayer mode.
Get
it!"
"one
of the best PD games
around"
"Not a game to calm down or
relax with ... but truly a joy to play"
I'm
biting the bullet and making the source code available... Click here!
Marsquake was also included
on iSV's
games
compilation CD, launched as a special Christmas promotion.
Acorn
Arcade have counted the votes
for their league of free and nearly
free
software. It appears that Marsquake came in at number 5 - which is nice
- and I can use this little award gif thingy. Cool!
Version 1.14 now uploaded. This
version contains a small bug fix
that stops levels being corrupted when swapping between original and
user defined levels.
Frequently
Asked Questions
"I've
downloaded a version of Marsquake, but it crashes when I
try
to run it! What's up?"
Due to a mystery conflict between Marsquake and Arcfs, you must use
Sparkplug to dearchive it. I'm not sure why, but Arcfs doesn't seem to
dearchive it properly, or something like that. If anyone knows why,
please
let me know!
"What
happened to the internet version?"
Well, quite. I'm afraid it hasn't happened because I've wanted to get
on with other things. I've been wondering about making the source code
available, so at least someone else could look at adding internet play.
Again, if anyone is interested, let me know.
"So
what now?"
As far as Marsquake is concerned - nothing. I've got something else
cooking and it needs my constant attention. ;)
